"Andrew is very technically experienced with different brands of hearing aids and thorough, ensuring the best possible adjustments are made for your needs. I have trialled other aids but am more than happy with Andrew’s recommendations. They suit my needs perfectly. I now experience excellent sound quality, the best is being able to hear conversations in a noisy environment like a restaurant. Previously I felt isolated in such situations. I’m now able to follow dialogue, stories and jokes. None of this was possible previously. Suffice to say, my life has certainly changed for the better."

The Harmony Hearing Story
I’m Andrew Mackendrick - Perth Audiologist, and son of Dr Alastair Mackendrick, one of Perth’s most respected Ear, Nose & Throat specialists. Growing up around clinical excellence shaped everything about how I approach hearing care.
I founded Harmony Hearing in 2011 with a straightforward belief: people deserve an audiologist who has time to listen, the freedom to recommend any brand, and the integrity to put their hearing first. Not manufacturer quotas. Not volume targets. Just good audiology.
Today our small, experienced team serves patients across Shenton Park, Fremantle and Mundaring - and most of our new patients find us through word of mouth. That’s the endorsement we’re most proud of.

We'll Help You Choose the Right Hearing Aid
At Harmony Hearing, we only provide hearing aid devices from globally recognised brands. Unlike other corporate hearing aid clinic chains, we do not rebrand or 'White label' hearing aids to hide technology levels or superseded models.
Our Perth hearing aids and accessories come with authentic manufacturers' warranties and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. We keep our stock up to date with the latest hearing aid models featuring cutting-edge technology, such as 4D user-intent sensors and AI-powered noise separation.
Know Your Model
Our online shop allows you to view the exact model of hearing aids recommended to you, all at upfront and competitive prices.
Don't risk being misled by large overseas-owned dispensing chains that sell generic rebranded devices or "white label" devices.
Our Transparent Pricing Guarantee
Our hearing aid prices are published on our website. No need to call, no hidden fees, no surprises. Browse our full range online and know exactly what you’ll pay before your first appointment.
To keep things fair for self-funding Australians, we price our hearing aids at around the same level as Government-subsidised devices — without requiring you to qualify for a program.
Why can’t the big chains tell you their prices?
Most large corporate hearing chains — many owned by overseas hearing aid manufacturers — will not disclose prices online or by phone. At Harmony Hearing, we believe you have the right to know what you’re paying before you commit. Our prices are published. Always.
Harmony Hearing Reviews:
Our Audiology Clinics in Perth
The Harmony Hearing & Audiology team works across three clinics in Perth's metropolitan region, in Shenton Park, Fremantle, and Mundaring. We also provide telehealth audiology sessions, and our hearing aids are available online to purchase from anywhere in Australia.
At Harmony Hearing, we are proud to support the local residents of Perth. When Andrew first founded Harmony Hearing, the goal was to make high quality hearing support more accessible to the local community. That's why we've chosen centrally located suburban locations like Shenton Park and Fremantle that were still convenient, but avoided patients having to trek through a busy shopping centre to find us. Our clinics are ground-level with plenty of parking, are wheelchair accessible, and have plenty of room for families. Seeing an audiologist will often require multiple visits, so our aim is to make the experience accessible, comfortable, and welcoming.
Are You Eligible for Free Hearing Care?
Harmony Hearing is proud to be an accredited hearing care provider under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program. Under the program, we can provide subsidised hearing care support, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and device guidance.
You can take the free online quiz to learn more about whether you're eligible for the program.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to book an audiologist appointment?
No, you do not need to have a referral from your GP or a specialist to see an audiologist. However, you will need a referral if you are planning to claim a Medicare rebate for a hearing assessment in Perth.
What hearing conditions can an audiologist help with?
Our audiologists can diagnose and treat hearing conditions, including:
- Hearing loss
- Balance issues related to vestibular dysfunction
- Tinnitus
- Auditory processing issues
We can collaborate with medical professionals such as ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) specialists to help our patients access the treatment they need to hear better, such as in the case of hearing implants.
Our audiology services in Perth also cover:
- Hearing aid configurations
- Earwax removal and cleaning
- Customised hearing protection and ear plugs
- Education and counselling for hearing-related conditions
Do you provide hearing aid fitting services?
Yes, our hearing aid fitting services are complimentary for customers who have purchased a hearing aid device through our Perth audiology clinic. If you have bought a hearing aid from a different provider that does not fit properly, we will be happy to help you find the right configuration based on your personal hearing profile.
Do you offer discounts for pensioners?
Yes, Harmony Hearing is an accredited hearing services provider under the national Hearing Services Program (HSP). HSP-eligible individuals can access free hearing tests and hearing aid devices covered under the HSP. We’ve helped many patients access the hearing care they need with little to no out-of-pocket costs. Get in touch with our team via a call to find out more about your eligibility.
Where are your audiology clinics located in Perth?
We have clinics conveniently located in Fremantle, Shenton Park, and Mundaring. We can also deliver services in Willeton for hearing appointments that are booked in advance. To see our audiologists, please book an appointment by calling us at 1800 02 04 06 or using our online booking form.
Can I buy a hearing aid without a hearing test?
You can buy over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids online or from most hearing aid providers in Australia without an audiologist’s prescription or hearing test. However, OTC hearing aid devices are only suited for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss and do not have the same capability as prescription hearing aid devices.
Audiology Australia (AudA) recommends that individuals with hearing loss seek treatment from an accredited audiologist to obtain the most suitable hearing aid device for their hearing needs. A diagnostic hearing test in Perth delivered by an audiologist will provide an accurate diagnosis of your hearing health and a prescription for high-quality hearing aids.
What is an independent audiologist?
An independent audiologist has no affiliations with any hearing aid manufacturer or brand. When you choose an independent audiologist like Harmony Hearing, you can rest assured that any recommendation for hearing aid devices is completely unbiased and made with your best interests in mind. You won’t be pushed to buy expensive hearing aid models with features that you don’t need - only devices that are handpicked to meet your hearing needs.
