SuperVoice takes dialogue clarity to a new level by dramatically reducing non-vocal background sounds. This product offers much flexibility to enhance voice clarity.
Its not about Volume, but about Clarity
When you turn up the volume of the TV you are increasing the whole volume range fairly evenly. This also increases the volume of the the music and sound effects which masks over the speech or dialogue. Also the way the physiology of the inner works is that too much base amplification causes what is know in the Audiology profession as an upward spread of masking where the low frequencies mask over the higher frequency detail. The AV 157 uses proprietary digital algorithms that seperate the voices from the rest of the sound track and then manipulate them much the way a modern digital hearing aid does. The result is that speech sound is drawn out of the sound track making it much easier to follow the dialogue.
Easy To Install
The AV157 is so small (17” wide) you can put it just about anywhere. It works well above or below your TV, or to the left or right. Connection is simple using one connecting wire to your TV. Then plug it in the wall, turn down the sound on your TV speakers, and you get high quality sound and clear voices on every program. It’s so easy to use it has a one-page owner’s manual.
Loud Commercial Control
If you’ve ever been blasted out of your chair by a too-loud commercial – you’ll love our Output Leveling (OL) feature. It’s incorporated in the Accuvoice Modes OR you can turn it on by using the “Other Settings” button. A sophisticated processor takes over, making soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer, so there are fewer jarring moments when switching channels or when commercials come on. This system also helps by boosting the audio levels from a DVD or Blu Ray player that are not loud enough.

ZVOX’s proprietary PhaseCue virtual surround processing gives you rich, three-dimensional sound with movies or music. Sound & Vision magazine calls it “remarkably ingenious.”
WILL WORK WITH MOST REMOTE CONTROLS.
It’s easy to program the speaker so that it responds to power, volume and mute commands from your current IR (infrared) remote control.
DISAPPEARING DISPLAY.
The speaker features a four-digit display located behind the speaker grille that shows the current setting for volume, bass, treble and PhaseCue® (virtual surround) – and also shows when you have engaged the Mute, Output Leveling (OL) or AccuVoice (AC1-AC-6) features. A few seconds after you stop using your remote (or front panel) controls, the display disappears completely.
STURDY INJECTION MOLDED ABS CABINET
The AV157 uses a strong, acoustically inert molded cabinet. High wall thickness and high pressure molding insures that cabinet resonances stay out of the audio reproduction.
